By enrolling in our programs, you agree to respect the traditions, regulations, and spirit of Ashtanga Yoga School India.
1. Admission & Eligibility
Enrollment is open to individuals of all backgrounds who possess a sincere desire to learn Traditional Ashtanga Yoga. We reserve the right to refuse admission to any applicant who does not meet the physical or psychological requirements necessary for intensive training.
2. Code of Conduct
As a student of a traditional school in Rishikesh, you are expected to maintain a Sattvic (pure) lifestyle during the course. This includes:
- Strict adherence to the school schedule and punctuality.
- Prohibition of alcohol, tobacco, and non-prescription drugs on school premises.
- Respectful behavior toward teachers, staff, and fellow students.
- Observation of silence (Mauna) during designated hours if required.
3. Health & Physical Liability
Yoga involves physical activity that may be strenuous. By agreeing to these terms:
- You confirm that you are in good physical health and have consulted a physician if necessary.
- You acknowledge that injuries can occur and agree that Ashtanga Yoga School India, its teachers, and staff are not liable for any injuries, lost items, or medical conditions arising during or after the course.
- Students are responsible for their own travel and health insurance.
4. Attendance & Certification
To receive a Yoga Alliance certificate, students must:
- Maintain a minimum of 95% attendance across all modules.
- Successfully complete all practical and theoretical assessments.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series.
Certification is earned through merit and discipline, not just enrollment.
5. Intellectual Property
All course materials, manuals, and curriculum designs provided by the school are the intellectual property of Ashtanga Yoga School India and may not be reproduced or distributed for commercial purposes without written consent.
6. Governing Law
Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India.
